Greetings in the “Great Name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ”! It is with great anticipation, expectation, and excitement of the announcement of R & B Teaching Ministries, LLC, with an emphasize of teaching “Leadership with a Biblical Perspective”. This Ministry is meant to inspire and direct the Body of Christ how to lead their church and Christian business organizations. This dynamic teaching is “out of the box” learning that will take your church or business to the next level in how to live and operation in the “Kingdom of God”. Guaranteed! We invite you to take the challenge.
Now, let me introduce ourselves. I was born and raised in Kokomo, IN. Joined the USMC after graduation in 1970. Beverly and I met in 1972 and married in 1975. We have been married for over 43 years. WOW, what a blessing! We have two daughters and 5 grands, and 3 great grands. Another blessing! I spent nearly 24 1/2 years in the United States Marine Corps, obtaining the rank and position of Command Sergeant Major.
Afterwards, I spent nearly 22 years in housing and development, being blessed to start at the bottom and rose to be the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a large multi-million dollars organization. During this time, God blessed me with a MPP (this professional fellowship program, I was one of 18 chosen nationally, to include the VI and PR to attend the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland, for a one year accelerated Masters. I was blessed to be one of 15 to complete the program; I have also been awarded a MA, BA, AA and AAS degree. I spent over 5 years as the Field Office Director for HUD for the State of Alabama. During the inaugurate year of the 2015, and 2016, the Field Office was recognized as the #1 Field for Leadership and Employee Engagement. God is great, and we give HIM all the Honor, Glory and Praise for HIS guidance and wisdom to lead the Field Office and State. Beverly was born in Ridgeway, SC and raised in Norwich, CT. She has been blessed to have a BA and AA. She has worked in various social services fields, Department of Corrections obtaining the rank of Sergeant before one of our relocations and working alongside of me giving guidance and wisdom.
During our/my relocations nationally and overseas, we worked and held various church positions, to include laborer and leadership positions with excellence. Some of them would include but not all inclusive; Sunday Superintendent/Teacher; Associate Minister, Board of Trustee, Assistant Pastor, District Co-Chair Men’s Auxiliary (North/South Carolina District; Chief Finance Officer (CFO); Associate Minister, Prayer Counselor, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Pre-Marriage Mentor; taught marriage classes; Chairman-Men’s Ministry; Armorer Bearer; Chairwoman of Women’s and Children’s Sunday School Teacher; and other roles and duties as directed by the Pastor or First Lady.
OUR COVERING
As it is stated, no church is an island to itself, it is the same for R & B Teaching Ministries, LLC. Many have contributed to this Ministry being birth, because it was not by chance that it exists. This Ministry is “alive with Christ”. We believe in giving “Honor to those that have blessed us”. We would like to acknowledge the Honorable Doctor David and Pastor/First Lady Patricia Kenney of Christian Growth Cathedral, International, 1655 Irwin Bridge Road, Conyers, GA 30012. We have been confirmed, blessed and released by them to move forward with this Ministry. We are no renegades that broke loose with no covering. During this Ministry of Excellence, we will continue to be under their tutelage, leadership and love. When in the area, please give us a visit!
This Ministry will key on where you are now and where you what to be in the very near future with your Ministry. No one church is an island to itself. So oftentimes “leadership” will, read a book or two, go to a workshop, conference, seminar, take a couple of courses and think I got it now. Not so fast. It takes a great deal more than that. R & B Teaching Ministries, LLC has over 40 years in the study of “leadership” and management, with the lifelong “discipleship” in leading and managing small to large organizations with “success”. We bring to you the spiritual, educational, skills and training of how to lead the “people of God”. We bring a wealth of practical experience, skills, and godly wisdom to this Teaching.
The vision of R & B Teaching Ministries, LLC came to me under the direction of our God, December 12, 2014. With righteousness, joy and peace in the Spirit of God, I shared it with my wife Beverly of 40 years. The covenant was made that we would move forward prayerfully, strategically and methodically to the manifestation of this extraordinary Leadership Teaching with a Biblical Perspective for “leaders” in the Body of Christ. It is absolutely God ordained! And we have been given a clear message for the Leaders and future leaders and Christian Business Organizations in the Body of Christ locally, nationally and internationally, “TEACH MY PEOPLE”. Thank You JESUS!
We would like to “Honor” the late Suffrage Rufus Mills and Mother Mills of Indianapolis/Kokomo, IN; the late Edward Mack, and Mother Shirley Mack of Beaufort, SC. This is the location (Father’s Day 1981) that I recommitted and rededicated my life to Jesus Christ. We still communicate with Mother Mack almost monthly. She is still a very “special” Mother of Light in our life. This is where I was called, confirmed, ordained and sent out as a Teacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Shortly afterwards, Beverly gave her life to Christ. What a blessing it is to live for Jesus!
We would also like to “Honor” Pastor and First Lady Holiday (Okinawa, Japan, June 92 – March 92). If you know of them and their location, it would be a blessing to let us know so we can contact them. We “Honor” Suffrage Bishop Eric and First Lady Kim Morris, Citadel of Hope church, Columbia, SC. An awesome man and woman of God that mean so much to Beverly and me. A friendship that is lasting and God sent. We learned so much from them. We “Honor “Bishop Bob and Mother William (Christ Temple) of Winston Salem, NC. This is the very first church of diversity (how God wants it) that we attended and were members. It was a church of love, worship and praise. We would also like to “Honor” Dr. Ray and Regina Morgan. A renounced speaker and author, and his Queen Regina who labored with him. We are very graceful and thankful to have them in our lives. Thanking Dr. Morgan for his wisdom, insight and guidance as we move forward in the vision and birth of R&B Teaching Ministries.
Beverly would like to “HONOR” her parents, the late Nathaniel Murphy, and Margaret Murphy for her upbringing with a high standard of moral and character as a child and young adult.
Lastly, I “HONOR” and THANK the late Dad (Ephraim) and Mom (Allie) KENNER for raising me with love and in the fear of the LORD. Establishing in me as a child how important it is to have Jesus Christ in your life and to live a godly lifestyle before Him. Thank you, JESUS! Both are now with the Lord. I would also like to “Honor” my Brothers and Sisters that have chosen a lifestyle of righteousness and have set an example for us. The late Doctor and Pastor Isaiah Kenner, Pastor/Elder Abraham Kenner, Delores Patterson, Queen Ester McGlone, Co-Pastor Marilyn Carter and Ephraim Kenner Jr. To include many other family members, friends and love ones in the Body of Jesus Christ.
